Coliseum Crowns
Televised monotony
Pseudo-celebrity
Coliseum crowns
Placed upon the heads
Of our modern gladiators
We laugh
The laughing fools
While our comedic targets
Live in enslaved freedom
Owning our time and thoughts
But never the truth
We would gladly follow
Away from the truth
Of individuality,
Intellect,
Emotion,
And experience
Microwaved diets
And short-circuited minds
Zombified attachment
No legacy to leave behind
Not if it can't be posted,

Childish Cadence
Childish Cadence
You think I owe you
That you own my debt
But mine is to a greater calling
You did, indeed, once listen
With a heart
That might just match
The consistently inconsistent
Tones of my voice
My voice, you see
Not only hear, but see
As it mezmorizes
With colors and cadence
But you went blind
The moment you told me
My heart was that of a child's
Grow up!
You said
I need a man!
You said
You're still such a boy!
You accused
You stabbed into the colors
Broke the cadence
And made for yourself
A man
You duel with the broken
Incomplete
But never lost
You think I owe you
That you own my debt
But mine is to a greater calling
You did, indeed, once listen
With a heart
That might just match
The consistently inconsistent
Tones of my voice
My voice, you see
Not only hear, but see
As it mezmorizes
With colors and cadence
But you went blind
The moment you told me
My heart was that of a child's
Grow up!
You said
I need a man!
You said
You're still such a boy!
You accused
You stabbed into the colors
Broke the cadence
And made for yourself
A man
You duel with the broken
Incomplete
But never lost
