Time Traveler's Paradox
It's in our past
We find the lesson
It's in our present
We live the lesson
It's in our future
We carry the lesson
So why?
Why can't we exist
In all three dimensions
Of time
At the same time
Why do we measure time
As relative as it is?
But we can't be people
Of the past, present, and future
All at once?
It's because we try
Existing above time
We measure it as it
Measures us
And finds us wanting
More time for this
Less time for that
We obsess over the minutes
Counting down the hours
In anticipation of happiness
In dread of the unpleasant
We call ourselves masters of time
Just because we appear
To capture it in our touchscreens
Trap it on our wrists and in our pockets
But time bends to no mortal
Time is existence
Reality
The beginning
Middle
End
