In the Pen
This page is dedicated to the necessary act of writing as much as possible in order to get better at writing; like anything else we do, writing is something that must be practiced in order to improve upon our ability. I was inspired to practice when I took into consideration that I write all of my poetry by hand first before I then type them up and post them to this blog; making drafting an inherent part of my writing process. I was also inspired to participate by a sudden resurgence of my need to write, which occurred when I wrote the first one in this set. My life had recently taken what I believed to be a turn for the absolute worst. I am so very grateful to poetry and how being a part of it helps me to get through some of the very worst times in my life. I am very proud to say that I managed to write one poem for each entry in the entire set for the first volume. For now, it's about being proud that I completed a series, especially since I have a consistent tendency to not do so. I have every intention of going back to this practice and writing more volumes; however, in this moment of creating this page and copying over the links (which can also be found on the Complete Table of Contents) I will take a step back and appreciate the fact that these poems played a role in me still being here, still writing, still growing and loving and learning. Thank you to all of you who read my poetry and show your support. Like I analyzed with my last poem, so much of what we go through turns out to just be a single moment when one takes into account the sheer amount of moments one has in their life and how it's a culmination of those moments that form a life lived.In the Pen: Volume 1
