Look at the world around you
Use your eyes to see
That you cannot possibly,
Because you have just your two eyes
And there's an infinite galaxy

Perceive your place;
That it will be
A balanced definition
Coming from without
As much as from within

With this balance
With patience
With a concerted effort

Progress to the next
Whether that be a second
Or it be a matter outside of time
It's your progress to make;
Your balance to achieve

Once seeing is replaced by perceiving
You can progress in processing
Processing all the negative
In balance with the positive
And you can balance your internal progression
With external support

No, you're not alone
And, yes you are
We say there is gray
Not in replacement of the black and white
But in acceptance of both

Perceive them both
Process them both
Then you can progress
Into the gray

Did you expect triumph in one?
Struggle in the other?

The whole of it is triumph and struggle
You don't get to separate them
One is nothing
Without the other

In the darkness we struggle
Struggle to accept its inevitable presence
In our lives
We triumph in darkness
Taking it with us
To the next

In the light we struggle
Struggle to accept we might just deserve it
And to accept that at times we don't
And to accept that sometimes it's at the same time
That we do and don't
Moving forward to the next

So, what's next?
Sometimes, you'll decide
And sometimes you won't
